Research Focus

  • As a public health professional my research interest revolve around prevention of disease. I have supervised students research project addressing women health, infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases and mental health. Within these broad topics I addressed how individual understand the public health issue, what are the motivating factors, facilitators and barriers to community involvement at individual level and how participation take place. I also examined what individual and group do to address their health concerns. In future research projects I would like to work on interventions to improve community health in the light of previous experience.
