Jinnah College of Rehabilitation Sciences (JCRS) was established in 2018 to provide quality education in an environment which focuses on problem solving and concept development. Exposure to in-depth knowledge of basic and clinical sciences relevant to rehabilitation will prepare competent professionals who fulfill their professional responsibilities as well as serve the community with devotion and brilliance.
Jinnah College of Rehabilitation Sciences is one of the emerging institutes of physical therapy rehabilitation in Pakistan which was established in 2021. It enjoys rich heritage of serving the cause of physiotherapy education with qualified faculty, providing an excellent learning environment. The doctor of physiotherapy (DPT) – 5 years program is a Post-baccalaureate degree conferred upon successful completion of duration. The DPT Degree was created by American Physiotherapy Association (APTA). The “Vision 2020” states that “By 2020, physical therapy will be provided by physical therapists who are doctors of physiotherapy recognized by consumers & other health-care professionals as the practitioners of choice to whom consumers have direct access for the diagnosis of, intervention for, & prevention of impairments, functional limitations, & disabilities related to movement, function & health.
The motive of the institute is to provide students with high-quality clinical framework, lectures, tutorials, CME programs, seminars, skills lab courses including Basic and Advanced life support, hands-on-trainings, clinical rotations in different wards and OPDs of the hospital. Additionally, students are encouraged to learn from evidence-based practices and participate in clinical research under the supervision of experienced faculty.
