Workshop on “Writing Educational Objectives: What, Why, How”
Department of Medical Education, Jinnah Medical and Dental College organized a workshop with the title “Writing Educational Objectives: What, Why, How” for the faculty members on 6th November 2020. Dr. Mariam Iqbal was the facilitator of the event. Later on, Prof. Dr. Hussain Mehdi, Principal, Jinnah Medical & Dental College distributed certificates to the participants.
Sohail University paid tribute to Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, a great philosopher, thinker, and national poet of Pakistan, the Poet of the East, for his indelible contribution to the establishment of Pakistan.
“Importance of timely Immunization in children during Covid Pandemic”
Jinnah Medical College Hospital Physician & Faculty members Professor Dr. S.M Inkisar Ali, Dr. Maryam Haider and Dr. Meher Afroze from the Department of Paediatrics, participated in a morning show of TV One to discuss the “Importance of timely Immunization in children during Covid Pandemic” on 9th November 2020. Professor Dr.S.M Inkisar Ali, Dr. Maryam Haider and Dr. Meher Afroze from the Department of Paediatrics, addres the issues related to Polio Virus in Pakistan.
A Workshop organized on “Basic Excel Skills” at Sohail University for the students of BBA woshop was Facilitated by Ifra Sarwar Ali, Associate Member of ICMA. On 12th November 2020 The objective of the Workshop is to enhance practical skills and knowledge of the BBA Students about using techniques in Excel.
Jinnah Medical & Dental College organized workshop on 10th March 2020 on Neonatal Resuscitation. More than 30 participants including doctors & staff were participated in the event. JMDC, Head of Pediatric Department, Professor S.M Inkisar Ali while emphasized the importance of event said that timely and effective neonatal resuscitation cannot be over emphasized. Globally, around 4 million neonatal deaths occur every year, out of these more than a million new born die on their first day of life. Furthermore, 93% of deaths occur in low and middle income countries including Pakistan. About 25% of all neonatal deaths are caused by birth asphyxia, he added. He also emphasized that birth asphyxia can be effectively treated to a very large extent with timely resuscitation of new born and failure to do so will result in mortality and long-term neuro developmental disability. Professor Inkisar praised Services of Senior Pediatrician Dr. Habiba Hassan. Dr. Habiba thanked J.M.C.H and presented review on the subject. At the end of event, Q&A’s session was conducted and certificates were distributed among participants and facilitators. 10-March-2020
