Sohail University was established under the auspices of S.M. Sohail Trust through a bill passed by the Provincial Assembly  of sindh under the Sohail University Act 2017, Sindh Act No: XIII of 2018 on  May 9th 2018. Though we are a new University, however our constituent institutions the Jinnah Medical and Dental College and Jinnah College of Nursing were established in 1998-99 and 2009 respectively. These institutions enjoy high reputation for the quality of innovative teaching and clinical training in our attached well equipped hospitals. So far we have produced 1100 MBBS, 600 BDS and 338 Nursing graduates who are fulling the need of society in health care.

Having achieved academic excellence in the aforesaid institutions we are poised under the banner of Sohail University to establish centers of excellence in emerging areas of science, engineering, technology, management and allied areas. In the first instance we are establishing College of Physical Therapy, BBA programme, Institute of Historical and Social Research and Postgraduate programme in Basic Medical Sciences including establishment of Biomedical Research Centre.
