Congratulates Sameer Tebha

Sohail University Congratulates Sameer Tebha, 4th-year student of Jinnah Medical & Dental College for being selected to present at the Medical Student Neurological Surgery Research Symposium organized by Weill Cornell Medicine, Department of Neurological Surgery. This is the First International Research Symposium for Medical Students in Neurosurgery. Sameer Tebha of JMDC is honored to be shortlisted and to present his “Poster Presentation” on “Management of Failed Back Surgery Syndrome and Healthcare Burden: A Mini Systematic Review” among 25 U.S. Medical Schools and 6 Countries internationally at the Weill Cornell Medicine, New York City, USA.

The agreement was signed between Biomedical Research Center, Sohail University & National Institute of Blood Diseases & Bone Marrow Transplantation (NIBD) at a ceremony held on June 4th 2021, at Sohail University. The agreement was signed by Dr. Sabeeh Jaffery, Registrar Sohail University and Dr. Jawad Hassan, Head of Diagnostic Haematology, on behalf of their respective institutions. As per the MoU both institutes agreed to promote cooperation in the field of research and diagnostic technology and related fields through collaborative research. The agreement will be effective for the period of three years On the occasion Director, Biomedical Research Center, Prof. Rizwana S. Waraich said “Sohail University, is one of emerging research and academic institution in the region, at the same time having a rich history of imparting medical, dental and allied education in the region since last twenty years. This MoU would further boost its research efforts and help tackle academic and technological challenges.” “NIBD & BMT is a specialized center of Haematology, Bone Marrow Transplantation, and Allied Surgical/Medical Specialties. National Institute of Blood Diseases & Bone Marrow Transplantation (NIBD & BMT) is the only tertiary care and teaching institute at the national level exclusively dedicated to providing comprehensive diagnosis and management of patients suffering from blood disorders. The Institute is the pioneer in Bone Marrow Transplantation in Pakistan. The MoU will strengthen the research capacity of both institutes” Dr. Jawad Hassan expressed his views in the ceremony. Prof. Dr. Syed Jamshed Ali Kazmi, Vice-Chancellor of Sohail University, graced the ceremony with his presence.
