International Women’s Day

Every year on March 8, International Women’s Day is celebrated globally. This March, Sohail University is Celebrating the #IWD2021 Salute to these fearless, valiant and mesmerizing women around the globe that have served in the diversified field of medicine, science, politics, education, sports, politics, IT, human rights, drama, etc. to name a few and evoke their services. These courageous women have proved their abilities, achieved remarkable accomplishments and touched the pinnacle. Let’s celebrate the day by appreciating these Women Internationally for their work.

Reminder, How to achieve goals in life

A motivational guest speaker session by Mr. Mushtaq Kharadi, GM Sales and Marketing Perfect Aerosol Industries was held in Jinnah Business School (JBS) for students. The interaction was about “Reminder, how to achieve goals in life” to inspire young students to remain focus and determine their dreams and goals.

Badminton Tournament

Sohail University Badminton Tournament started with interesting games. Students showed their gaming skills and tried to beat one another. First-day results: Badminton Girls single: Hafsa Shiekh of BDS 4th year Won the match against Sajida MBBS 4th year Badminton Mix double: Aliya Waqar of. MBBS 2nd Year & Rehmat Shah Won mix double against BDS 4th year. Men's Doubles: Faizan & Arqam. 4th-year MBBS Won Men's double against Nitash and Sagar 1st year MBBS. Hafa Khan MBBS 3rd year Won against Hafsa Sheikh BDS 4th year. More to come!

Workshop on “Lesson Planning”

Jinnah Medical and Dental College organizes workshops for faculty development on a regular basis with the aim of improving the teaching and learning process; and assessment of learning. Keeping in account, the needs of the millennial students, a workshop was arranged for the faculty members from all disciplines of JMDC and SU. The workshop titled “Lesson Planning” was facilitated by Professor Marium Iqbal, trained in medical education from Aga Khan University. The 3 hour- workshop continued for 5 consecutive days, engaging different participants each day. With the goal of developing a structured lesson plan, that would ensure coverage of content, the facilitator introduced innovative and interesting strategies that would keep the learners engaged throughout the lecture. At the end of the session, the faculty members shared their lesson plans incorporating creativity for their learners. The workshop was highly appreciated by the faculty for its high level of interaction, innovative solutions, and hands-on planning of lectures.
