"Every bottle of blood means a saved life" Sohail University has collaborated with Saylani Welfare trust to initiate a blood donation drive from April 5th to April 9th. On the SECOND DAY of the Blood Donation Drive, many people took time out of their busy lives to play their part in saving the lives of numerous vulnerable people. You can also be a valuable addition to the mission of saving lives by donating blood and giving one of the most precious gifts- The gift of life. Labors Day

"No human masterpiece has been created without great labor" ~Andre Gide Labor Day is annually celebrated on May 1st to commemorate and bring attention to the incredible work of laborers. On this Labors Day, Sohail University is paying homage to every diligent laborer as their hard work and devotion are one of the reasons for the prosperity of our nation.

World Thalassemia Day

World Thalassemia Day is observed on the 8th Of May every year to commemorate Thalassemia victims. Thalassemia is a genetic disorder in which the body is incapable of producing hemoglobin, which is a vital protein of the red blood cells. Sohail University recognizes the struggles of thalassemia patients and commits to raising awareness about preventive measures and helping the patients lead healthy life.

Awareness Session on Covid-19 (Corona Virus)

The common flu kills 60 times more people annually than Coronavirus, only 2% of cases have reported deaths was said by Dr. Rizwan Ali in a workshop on Coronavirus (Covid-19) which was held on 11th March 2020. Professor, Dr. Ajeet Kumar & Dr. Rizwan Qurban Ali Khawaja, Department of Medicine, were the speaker of the event who provided valuable information on COVID-19. Large number of Doctors, Medical students, Nursing Department and Medicare staff attended the workshop. While receiving Q&A’s from audience about precautionary measures, Dr. Ajeet said, people should wash hand with soap for at least 20 seconds and sneezing into flexed elbow is the best practice. Furthermore he added that only 2% of cases have reported death and most of these deaths were associated with weaker immune system. 11-March-2020
