Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC) hands-on training for Primary Healthcare Clinics
Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC) conducted hands-on training for Primary Healthcare Clinics on October 21st,2020. In its spirit of collaborative work with stakeholders, all clinics of SINA Health, Education, and welfare trust received training at Venue as provided by Jinnah Medical & Dental College, S.M. Sohail Trust. The training was facilitated by Deputy Director Trainings, Dr. Zainab Hasan, of the Directorate of Clinical Governance of the Training supported by office bearers of SINA Administration. The Director CGT, Dr. S. Ahmed Raza Kazmi appreciated the effort of SINA and thanked JMDC Administration for providing the venue. Later on, SHCC CEO (a) S. Baqar Raza Rizvi distributed certificates to the participants.
Workshop on “Student Engagement and Teaching Methodologies”
Jinnah Medical & Dental College conducted a workshop on “Student Engagement and Teaching Methodologies” for faculty members on October 23rd, 2020. Dr. Junaid Lakhani was the speaker of the session. The purpose of the workshop was to focus on innovative teaching methodology and active learning of student engagement. Later on, Prof. Dr. Hussain Mehdi, Principal, Jinnah Medical & Dental College distributed certificates to the participants.
To celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi Sohail University organized virtual Milad due to covid-19, which was broadcasted on social media pages of university on 29th October 2020. Students & Staff member recited Qirat & Naats to show their love for the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h).
Workshop on “Writing Educational Objectives: What, Why, How”
Department of Medical Education, Jinnah Medical and Dental College organized a workshop with the title “Writing Educational Objectives: What, Why, How” for the faculty members on 6th November 2020. Dr. Mariam Iqbal was the facilitator of the event. Later on, Prof. Dr. Hussain Mehdi, Principal, Jinnah Medical & Dental College distributed certificates to the participants.
The common flu kills 60 times more people annually than Coronavirus, only 2% of cases have reported deaths was said by Dr. Rizwan Ali in a workshop on Coronavirus (Covid-19) which was held on 11th March 2020. Professor, Dr. Ajeet Kumar & Dr. Rizwan Qurban Ali Khawaja, Department of Medicine, were the speaker of the event who provided valuable information on COVID-19. Large number of Doctors, Medical students, Nursing Department and Medicare staff attended the workshop. While receiving Q&A’s from audience about precautionary measures, Dr. Ajeet said, people should wash hand with soap for at least 20 seconds and sneezing into flexed elbow is the best practice. Furthermore he added that only 2% of cases have reported death and most of these deaths were associated with weaker immune system. 11-March-2020
