DPT Orientation Ceremony

Department of Physical Therapy (DPT) welcome its Batch -2 on 2nd Jan 2020 to become a part of a recognized center of excellence. We believe in training the upcoming generation to produce competent doctors and trendsetters that contribute to the society actively.

COVID-19

Medicare Cardiac & General Hospital have played an active role to fight against the pandemic coronavirus. During the tough time on the state, our frontline warriors put their lives in danger to save others in the battle against COVID-19. Our specialized doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff provided awareness to the general public with respective knowledge of their fields through social media platforms. Notices and informative flyers about social distancing, wearing masks, have also been posted on the premises of organization for the public to follow WHO / Govt. SOP’s.

BS Orientation Ceremony

Sohail University started the academic session with Orientation Ceremony of BS Batch-1 (Bio-Technology & Medical Technology). Which took place on January 07, 2020. Students attended the session with great zeal. They were explained about the personal opportunities, growth and universities rules and regulations by their respective head of departments. Students also explored the university. At the end Q&A’s session was conducted where students asked their queries from faculty. Moreover, a commemorative group photo of new students was also taken.

PCP Certification

Another achievement for S.M. Sohail Trust to have received PCP certification. The Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP) Certification Programme seeks to bring transparency, accountability and good supremacy in the non-profit sector in Pakistan. It involves the evaluation of a non-profit organization on standardized limitations of internal governance, financial management and programme delivery.

Workshop on “Lesson Planning”

Jinnah Medical and Dental College organizes workshops for faculty development on a regular basis with the aim of improving the teaching and learning process; and assessment of learning. Keeping in account, the needs of the millennial students, a workshop was arranged for the faculty members from all disciplines of JMDC and SU. The workshop titled “Lesson Planning” was facilitated by Professor Marium Iqbal, trained in medical education from Aga Khan University. The 3 hour- workshop continued for 5 consecutive days, engaging different participants each day. With the goal of developing a structured lesson plan, that would ensure coverage of content, the facilitator introduced innovative and interesting strategies that would keep the learners engaged throughout the lecture. At the end of the session, the faculty members shared their lesson plans incorporating creativity for their learners. The workshop was highly appreciated by the faculty for its high level of interaction, innovative solutions, and hands-on planning of lectures.
