PROGRAM REVIEW OF EFFECTIVENESS AND ENHANCEMENT(PREE)

The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of Sohail University conducted a Program Review of Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) for the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (DOT) program on September 4, 2025. This review was an essential step toward evaluating the program’s academic quality, curriculum relevance, and alignment with national and international educational standards reaffirming the university’s ongoing commitment to excellence in health sciences education

Purpose of PREE:

The meeting marked an important milestone in the continuous pursuit of academic innovation and quality enhancement within the Department of Occupational Therapy. As the DOT program continues to evolve, it is vital that the curriculum remains:

  • Grounded in evidence-based practice
  • Responsive to the dynamic needs of the healthcare sector
  • Aligned with HEC and professional accreditation standards

The specific purposes of this pre-meeting were to:

  • Outline the objectives and structure of the curriculum review process.
  • Clarify the roles and responsibilities of all participating stakeholders.
  • Identify key focus areas for curriculum enhancement.
  • Ensure that the program meets academic and clinical competencies expected at the doctoral level

  • Emphasis on curriculum alignment with HEC, POTA, and WFOT standards.
  • Identification of improvement areas in curriculum design, assessment strategies, and clinical placements.
