In pursuance of the Letter No: CK/AC(HQ)D.B/2023-99 dated June 13, 2023 issued by the Commissioner, Karachi Division, Faculty/Staff and Students of Sohail University and JMDC Basic Medical Sciences (only) will observe OFF tomorrow June 14, 2023 and all academic activities and examinations will remain suspended in view of the high weather alert issued by the Pakistan Meteorological Department. New dates for exams will be announced later. The Clinical Faculty of S M Sohail Hospital shall continue to perform its duties as per their roster. World Thalassemia Day is observed on the 8th Of May every year to commemorate Thalassemia victims. Thalassemia is a genetic disorder in which the body is incapable of producing hemoglobin, which is a vital protein of the red blood cells. Sohail University recognizes the struggles of thalassemia patients and commits to raising awareness about preventive measures and helping the patients lead healthy life.
