Birthday Anniversary Of Father Of The Nation

Sohail University celebrates the 145th Birthday Anniversary of Father of the Nation Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah today December 25th with a renewed commitment to work hard for the progress and prosperity of the country. Let’s pay rich tribute to the struggle of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for getting us a separate independent homeland and mark the day as per Quaid’s vision.

World Hypertension Day

Hypertension is a quiet executioner. It is probably going to turn into a worldwide pandemic. Sohail University observes world hypertension day on 17th May 2020. It is treatable and preventable. Medicare Cardiac & General Hospital spread awareness among the general public about how to treat and prevent hypertension.

CLDP Visit

Stefan Koehler, Associate Director of Licensing Health Technologies University of Michigan and John Dickerson Senior Attorney U.S Department of Commerce Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) visited Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) at Sohail University on 5th March 2020 and explored the prospects of academic and research collaboration with Director Research Sohail University Prof. Dr. Rizwana S Waraich.

Workshop on Neonatal Resuscitation

Jinnah Medical & Dental College organized workshop on 10th March 2020 on Neonatal Resuscitation. More than 30 participants including doctors & staff were participated in the event. JMDC, Head of Pediatric Department, Professor S.M Inkisar Ali while emphasized the importance of event said that timely and effective neonatal resuscitation cannot be over emphasized. Globally, around 4 million neonatal deaths occur every year, out of these more than a million new born die on their first day of life. Furthermore, 93% of deaths occur in low and middle income countries including Pakistan. About 25% of all neonatal deaths are caused by birth asphyxia, he added. He also emphasized that birth asphyxia can be effectively treated to a very large extent with timely resuscitation of new born and failure to do so will result in mortality and long-term neuro developmental disability. Professor Inkisar praised Services of Senior Pediatrician Dr. Habiba Hassan. Dr. Habiba thanked J.M.C.H and presented review on the subject. At the end of event, Q&A’s session was conducted and certificates were distributed among participants and facilitators. 10-March-2020
